Blue Yeti Microphone – Vintage White – Ultimate Edition - UnBoxing & Review

The Blue Yeti is the first professional THX certified USB microphone with great sound quality and exceptional design. The mic & stand might be a bit large for some users, with measured dimensions of 4.7" x 11.6" x 4.9" (W x H x D).

Despite what you have seen in pictures, videos or reviews, the Blue Yeti is constructed of solid metal. The overall build is impressive and has some serious heft to it. On the front, is a mute button and a volume control. On the back, is a control for gain and another four-position pattern switch. On the bottom, is a mini USB port, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a 5/8" thread shock mount.

At the core of the Blue Yeti, is a Tri-Capsule Array with four built-in recoding modes. The 16-bit, 48-KHz sample rate coupled with Cardioid mode will enhance all of your recordings and is the perfect choice for voice overs & video logs.

The four Tri-Capsule Array Recoding Modes are :-
  • Cardioid
  • Bidirectional
  • Omnidirectional
  • Stereo

Setup in Windows 10 is simple, with no special tools required and drivers installed automatically for you via plug-n-play. All the software you will need for creating studio quality recordings can be downloaded for free or acquired through small donations to Open Source project development.
